Frequently Asked Questions
Questions about your order, your rest set, or how it all works. If you need anything else, email us at hello@groundd.nz
How long does shipping take?
Orders are processed and dispatched within 2-3 working days. Once dispatched, CourierPost delivery takes 1 to 3 working days. A tracking number is emailed once your order has been collected. Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. We do take pre-orders on some products that run out of stock, please take care to check when you're placing your order.
Is shipping free?
Yes. Shipping is free across New Zealand on all orders.
Can I track my order?
Yes. A dispatch confirmation email with your CourierPost track and trace number is sent once your order is on its way.
What is your return policy?
If you are not completely satisfied within 30 nights of receiving your order, you can return it for a full refund. We recommend giving it at least 5 nights before deciding — it can take a little time for your body to adjust.
To be eligible, products must be in like-new condition with no pet hair, holes, stains, or damage. The order must be returned in its original packaging. If the original packaging is missing but all other conditions are met, your refund will be reduced by 25 percent. Final sale products are not eligible for return, though warranty claims still apply.
If the returned blanket requires cleaning, your refund will be reduced by 50 percent. If it is not in an acceptable condition to be donated, we are unable to offer a refund.
How do I start a return?
Email hello@groundd.nz to begin the process. Once confirmed, send your order to:
Attn: Groundd
12 Patey Street
Epsom
Auckland 1051
Use tracked postage — we cannot process a refund for orders lost in transit. Return shipping costs are not covered by Groundd. Write your order number clearly on the outside of the package. We will inspect your return and notify you of any deductions within 7 days. Refunds are processed to your original payment method.
What is your warranty period?
All Groundd products carry a 2 year warranty from the date of purchase. If your blanket or cover rips or frays during normal use within that period, we will make it right.
How do I wash my blanket?
Hand wash only in warm water with dissolved detergent. Air dry in indirect shade. Do not tumble dry, iron, or dry clean.
How do I wash the cover?
Zip the cover closed before washing. Machine wash on a delicate cycle in cool to warm water, maximum 30 degrees Celsius. Wash separately from items with zippers, hooks, or rough fabrics. Use a mild detergent and do not bleach. Hang dry in indirect sunlight or tumble dry on low. Bamboo Lyocell de-wrinkles naturally over time — if needed a light iron setting is fine.
Do I need to use the cover?
No. The rest set works with or without the cover. We recommend using it for protection and because the bamboo fabric adds a soothing feel against the skin. In warmer months you may prefer to use the blanket without it for cooler nights.
How do I attach the cover to the blanket?
- Flip the cover inside out and lay it flat on the floor or bed
- Place the blanket on top and tie all 8 interior loops to the blanket's attachment points
- Flip the cover the right way out and zip it up — the blanket will sit centred inside it
Which weight is right for me?
The standard recommendation is a blanket that is approximately 10 percent of your body weight. Under 60 kilograms suits the 4.5kg or 7kg Small Rest Set. 60 to 80 kilograms suits the 7kg Individual Rest Set. 80 to 100 kilograms suits the 9kg Individual Rest Set. For sharing a bed, the Large and Super King Rest Sets come in 9kg and 11kg.
Weight is a specification, not a hierarchy. A heavier blanket is not better — it is right for a different body. If you are unsure, take the 60-second quiz.
Where are Groundd products made?
Designed in New Zealand, manufactured in China.
What is the blanket made from?
The blanket has an Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified cotton outer layer, filled with BPA-free and lead-free glass beads within a thin microfibre cotton layer to distribute weight evenly.
What is the cover made from?
100 percent organic Bamboo Lyocell. Breathable, moisture-wicking, naturally antibacterial, and temperature-regulating. Also Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified.
What is Bamboo Lyocell?
Bamboo Lyocell uses a closed-loop manufacturing process where the solvent used to break down the bamboo fibre is captured and reused at a recovery rate of over 99 percent. This produces a fabric with all the natural properties of bamboo softness, temperature regulation, breathability. Standard bamboo viscose uses harsh chemicals including sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide, which are harmful to the environment and manufacturing workers.
What does Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified mean?
Every component in an Oeko-Tex certified product has been independently tested and verified as free from harmful chemicals and safe for skin contact. All Groundd blankets and covers hold this certification.
How are Groundd products packaged?
Recycled cardboard shipping boxes. The blanket and cover each come in a reusable fabric bag. Plastic-free with the exception of recycled plastic handles on some packaging components.
